Complete answer · one cat in each row, column and region

Cat coordinates

  1. R1C3Row 1, column 3
  2. R2C1Row 2, column 1
  3. R3C4Row 3, column 4
  4. R4C2Row 4, column 2

The 4 cats occupy distinct rows, columns and regions. Neighboring rows place cats at least two columns apart, so no cats touch at a corner.

Why the key move works

Place the single-cell region at R1 C3

The top-row pink region contains just this square. It must contain one cat, so R1 C3 is forced.

Complete solving process

All steps are shown below. The route uses rule-based deductions and explains each forced square or exclusion. You can use the answer above to check your board without reading the whole sequence.

01

Keep the starting cat at R3 C4

This cat is already on the opening board. Its row, column and purple color region are complete; mark R3 C3 and R4 C4 as unavailable.

Outlined cells show this step’s change. Cats and X marks carry forward.

Place the single-cell region at R2 C1

The darker pink region also has only one square. R2 C1 is its only possible cat location and does not touch either existing cat.

Outlined cells show this step’s change. Cats and X marks carry forward.

Finish at R4 C2

Columns 1, 3 and 4 are occupied. The last row therefore needs its cat in column 2. That also completes the yellow region.

What can go wrong on Level 1?

  • The video opens with a separate rule demonstration. The Level 1 board shown here starts at 0:38.
  • Do not put another cat in the purple region at R3 C3 or R4 C4. R3 C4 already fills that region.

Audit the row, column, colored region and immediate diagonal neighbors after every cat. If your copied board gives no solution, check uncertain X marks before changing a region boundary.

The lesson to carry into the next board

A pre-placed cat finishes its color region. Solve one-cell regions before the large remaining region.

On your next puzzle, look for the same type of constraint before choosing a square. A useful question is: “Which row, column or region now has fewer candidates because of my last cat?” Keep the answer tied to a specific marked cell.

This guide covers the mobile-game board visible in the linked Nasir Ali Gamer recording. Its region geometry, starting cat and completed cat locations were visually checked against the extracted opening and final frames; a solver verified the unique legal solution. Region numbers are arbitrary identifiers. Compare the opening screenshot with your board before following the coordinates.

Level 1 questions

What is the Meowdoku Level 1 answer?

For this 4×4 recorded board, the cats belong at R1C3, R2C1, R3C4, R4C2. Compare the opening regions and given cats before applying the answer.

Why does the video use a different move order?

Several forced moves can be available at once. The written guide orders them to explain a clear deduction chain. Rejected trial crosses in the source video are not placements to copy.

What if my board is different?

Use the Meowdoku solver with your exact region map and known cats. A different map can have a different answer under the same number.
