The opening idea
A large region is often the finishing region. Small compulsory regions can settle its row and column for you.
Meowdoku Level 4 answer
Try the deductions below first, or open the answer when you want to check your completed board.
Reveal all 5 cat positions
Cat coordinates
- R1C3Row 1, column 3
- R2C5Row 2, column 5
- R3C2Row 3, column 2
- R4C4Row 4, column 4
- R5C1Row 5, column 1
The 5 cats occupy distinct rows, columns and regions. Neighboring rows place cats at least two columns apart, so no cats touch at a corner.
Why the key move works
Place the top pink single at R1 C3
The small top pink region contains only R1 C3. It forces the first row and column 3.

These are frames from Nasir Ali Gamer’s recorded Meowdoku playthrough. The clean diagrams use the same region geometry; their colors are visual identifiers. Video trial moves are preserved in the source frames and explained in the captions.
Complete solving process
All steps are shown below. The route uses rule-based deductions and explains each forced square or exclusion. You can use the answer above to check your board without reading the whole sequence.
Keep the brown cat at R2 C5
The wide brown region already contains its cat. Every other brown square is unavailable, including the apparent options in the top row.
Outlined cells show this step’s change. Cats and X marks carry forward.
Place the top pink single at R1 C3
The small top pink region contains only R1 C3. It forces the first row and column 3.
Outlined cells show this step’s change. Cats and X marks carry forward.
Place the purple single at R3 C2
The purple color is a one-cell region. R3 C2 supplies row 3 and column 2.
Outlined cells show this step’s change. Cats and X marks carry forward.
Place the bottom-left single at R5 C1
The darker pink square at R5 C1 is a separate one-cell color region. Its cat also excludes R4 C2 diagonally.
Outlined cells show this step’s change. Cats and X marks carry forward.
Finish the broad pink region at R4 C4
Rows 1, 2, 3 and 5 are filled, and columns 1, 2, 3 and 5 are used. Their missing intersection is R4 C4.
Outlined cells show this step’s change. Cats and X marks carry forward.
What can go wrong on Level 4?
- R1 C2 is brown, and the brown region already has its starting cat at R2 C5.
- Do not guess in the lower pink block before the bottom-left single and the middle purple single are resolved.
Audit the row, column, colored region and immediate diagonal neighbors after every cat. If your copied board gives no solution, check uncertain X marks before changing a region boundary.
The lesson to carry into the next board
A large region is often the finishing region. Small compulsory regions can settle its row and column for you.
On your next puzzle, look for the same type of constraint before choosing a square. A useful question is: “Which row, column or region now has fewer candidates because of my last cat?” Keep the answer tied to a specific marked cell.

This guide covers the mobile-game board visible in the linked Nasir Ali Gamer recording. Its region geometry, starting cat and completed cat locations were visually checked against the extracted opening and final frames; a solver verified the unique legal solution. Region numbers are arbitrary identifiers. Compare the opening screenshot with your board before following the coordinates.

Level 4 questions
What is the Meowdoku Level 4 answer?
For this 5×5 recorded board, the cats belong at R1C3, R2C5, R3C2, R4C4, R5C1. Compare the opening regions and given cats before applying the answer.
Why does the video use a different move order?
Several forced moves can be available at once. The written guide orders them to explain a clear deduction chain. Rejected trial crosses in the source video are not placements to copy.
What if my board is different?
Use the Meowdoku solver with your exact region map and known cats. A different map can have a different answer under the same number.
